Testimonials

From getting off the plane to getting back on, I could not fault the organisation; they could not do enough for you. Each day was well planned and safety was priority. The rides were amazing and very challenging for all levels at all speeds. I love to climb so this trip was perfect for me; we climbed the longest and highest on several days. I’m booking again for next year.

Stu

Struggle has created a fabulous Training Camp for mixed abilities. They thought of everything, the organisation from start to finish is second to none, fantastic scenic routes, excellent accommodation, the attention to detail is faultless. Their passion for cycling and knowledge of the Island makes for an epic week riding. I travelled alone, was made very welcome & made lots of new friends. I cannot wait to go again next year.

Sarah

I had a fantastic week of cycling in Mallorca with Struggle Events. Everything was just perfect; great organisation and hotel, awesome routes with plenty of climbs and encouragement to challenge yourself. What makes it feel really special is how everyone is friendly, fun and are like-minded keen cyclists, there is plenty of opportunity to share the days stories over dinner at the end of the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I fly out for my trip?

Arrival day is the first date of your advertised trip and this is the day you should arrive at your destination airport. Morning arrivals will get the chance to do a leg loosener in the afternoon. Departure day is the advertised last date of your trip. If you would like to arrive and depart on different days this is absolutely fine, however will come with an additional nightly rate at the hotel and private tranfer cost. Please email hq@ridethestruggle.com if you would like to arrange alternative travel dates.

How fit do I need to be?

We have groups for varying abilities and welcome riders of different fitness and experience levels. This is a training camp and you don't need to be at your fitness. That said, it is important to have a decent base level of fitness to be able to cope with long rides over consecutive days. We cannot cater for everyone and if you are a beginner cyclists this may not be the trip for you. If you are unsure please don't hesitate to get in touch: hq@ridethestruggle.com.

I've never ridden in a group before. Is that ok?

Sure! If you haven't ridden in a group you'll gain this much-valued skill while joining us in Mallorca. We recommend you begin the week in a slighlty steadier group than you are used to. Once you have the skills nailed down you can move up the groups.

Should I hire a bike or bring my own bike?

This is totally up to you. If you prefer a hassle-free trip and aren't used to travelling with your bike then hiring might be better for you. However, if you have a nice bike and feel comfortable riding it, you'll love gliding around the smooth roads on your favourite steed.

What spending money do I need?

Our Girona trip includes breakfast and our Mallorca trip includes breakfast and buffet dinner. You'll need euros for your lunch money each day. We stop at inexpensive cafes, but we ask you to have euros to ease paying the bill.

What is the cancellation process?

We ask for a £150 deposit to secure your place on the trip. You can cancel your place up to 6 weeks before the trip but your deposit is non-refundable. Your final balance is due 6 weeks before. Once paid, this is non-refundable. As soon as you have booked your trip we recommend you take out travel insurance should you become injured ahead of the trip and can no longer attend.

Do I need Travel Insurance

Yes, it is compulsary to have travel insurance and you must not travel without it. Most travel insurers cover cycling in their standard package at no extra cost. Please ensure you check the policy wording before taking out insurance. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance as soon as you have booked. This will cover you in case you before injured before the trip and can no longer attend. You also need a European Health Card (EHIC).
