Begbies Traynor Boots or Bikes & Beer - Invitation Only
With an office of outdoor enthusiasts Begbies Traynor are excited to invite you for a day of business networking outside the boardroom. Join us to experience the best of the Yorkshire Dales by bike or by boot - with a well-deserved beer or two at the end.
DATE: Thursday 25th June 2020
TIME: Registration & networking from 12pm
LOCATION: The Black Sheep Brewery, Wellgarth, Masham, HG4 4EN. Find Us >>
CHARITY: All the profits from your entry fee will be donated to Cardiac Risk in the Young
Our base for the day will be the Black Sheep Brewery. The Brewery offers access to some of the best cycling roads and walking routes in the North Yorkshire. We’ll meet for networking over tea and coffee, during which you’ll meet your fellow riders/walkers, the Begbies Traynor members and the Struggle Events team.
Our route takes us north through the flat country lanes through the North Yorkshire villages of Bedale and Richmond. Our challenge climb of the day will be the well-known North Yorkshire climb of Grinton Moor. We'll then enjoy the fast downhill run in back to Masham.
Our walk will take us along a 9 mile riverbank route hugging the River Burn. We'll then head uphill to visit the Druid's Temple, an historic nineteenth century folly built to alleviate local unemployment by a wealthy landowner William Danby who helped by paying workers a shilling a day for their labour.

Our expert local guides will direct us around Yorkshire's stunning scenery so we can relax and enjoy the ride/walk. Ride groups will be based on ability, with our ride leaders controlling the pace. We'll regroup at the top of hills and no one will be left behind.
A well-deserved dinner of Beef and Ale Pie and chips and a pint - or two - will be awaiting us back at The Black Sheep Brewery (veggie option available). We can relax, continue to network and the walker and riders can share stories of their day.

About our Charity
Every week in the UK at least 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. Since its formation in 1995, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) has been working to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). CRY supports young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by YSCD.
