The Primeast Leadership Cycle Ethos
At Primeast we believe cycling is like business; a team sport. There’s the decisive road captain, valiant sprinter, dedicated lead-out man, multifaceted domestiques, an experienced director sportif, the visionary manager, the coach, physio, chef, soigneur...
But at the heart of that team is the leader; the Chris Froome or Lizzie Deignan; the GC contender. That leader cannot climb a mountain without an efficient team behind them. Yet without a leader even the strongest of teams will not reach the top victorious.
PRE-RIDE NETWORKING
Our base for the day will be Harrogate's hidden gem; Barrows Bistro on the edge of Harrogate. We’ll meet for a networking over morning coffee. During which you’ll meet your fellow riders, ride leaders and support crew.
ROUTES
We're spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful cycling roads but we feel we've come up with the perfect parcours for our day. There's the choice of a 38 mile route taking in the picturesque villages surrounding Harrogate.
Our 65 mile route includes the stunning scenery over Dallowgill Moor as seen in this year's Tour de Yorkshire and the epic climb challenge over Greenhow Hill. We'll head back to Harrogate where there will be the option to take in a lap of the UCI Road World Championships Finishing Circuit.
CLIMB CHALLENGE
Greenhow Hill has become world famous thanks to the Tour de Yorkshire, which regularly uses this ascent to test the world's best pro riders. This year it will feature in the UCI Road World Championships Men's Under 23 Road Race. It's not a climb to be taken lightly but with determination it's doable for any aspiring cyclist.

RIDE WITH A PRO
Scott Thwaites often attributes his success to his local training ground of the Yorkshire Dales. Scott has risen through the pro ranks to now boast an impressive palmares, most recently finishing 8th in the general classification in the Tour de Yorkshire. With his feet firmly on the ground, Scott is a great personality and always a joy to ride with. We hope you'll enjoy riding and chatting with him on the Primeast Leadership Cycle.
CAFE STOP
No ride is complete without a cafe stop. We'll be stopping mid-ride to fuel up with coffee and cake. Here all the groups will come together for the opportunity to continue networking before we head towards the hills.
RIDE LEADERS
Our expert local ride leaders will guide us around Yorkshire's stunning scenery so we can relax and enjoy the ride. We'll ride in groups based on ability, with our ride leaders controlling the pace. We'll regroup at the top of hills and no one will be left behind.
POST-RIDE LUNCH
Back at the Barrows Bistro we'll relax and refuel with lunch and a few beers. Here the rest of the Primeast team will join us to help celebrate our achievements.
LE COL FINISHER'S JERSEY
Each rider will receive a Primeast Le Col jersey as a memento of the day. Please view the size guide below before ordering your jersey.
