WHAT'S NEW:

The Yorkshire Ton (formerly Wharfedale Ton) is back for 2025 - and we're taking things up a notch and the 2025 edition is set to be even bigger and better. With a new 100 mile and 100km route, we welcome any rider on any bike.

  • New routes including 100km and 100 miles.
  • New exclusive venue at Bowcliffe Hall.
  • New team behind the organisation of the event.
  • New pre-ride breakfast and post-ride food offers more opportunities to network.
  • New team entry offering five places for the price of four; why not bring some clients along or encourage your colleagues to take part.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Join us pre-ride for breakfast and networking at Bowcliffe Hall.
  • Our expert mechanic will be on hand for pre-ride bike checks to assist with any minor mechanicals before you set out on the route.
  • We'll then set off in small riding groups relevant to pace so that you can enjoy riding with other like-minded riders of similar ability.
  • We'll be supported by a pro- mechanic and chaperoned by a support car.
  • We'll stop en route to refuel at our very own feed station for snacks, fill our pockets with sports nutrition and refill our water bottles ready to take on the second half of the ride.
  • We can choose between taking in 100 km or challenging ourselves to 100 miles which will be fully signposted throughout.
  • After the ride we'll continue networking over a gourmet street food back at Bowcliffe Hall in this stunning venue.
  • The bar will be open for a post-ride drink where you can relax, share stories from the ride and swop contacts with those you've met during the day.

NEW TEAM ENTRY: 5 RIDERS FOR THE PRICE OF 4

New for 2025, we're offering five places for the price of four. Why not bring some clients along to join you for the ride or encourage your colleagues to take part.

CHECK OUT THE ROUTES:

With two routes to choose from everyone is welcome. Please check out the routes below:

100 MILE ROUTE

Our 100 mile route begins by heading North through the Vale of York on quiet, flat country lanes to our first feed stop. The 100 mile route will then head into the scenic Howardian Hills, passing Castle Howard, Ampleforth Abbey and Byland Abbey. We'll loop back to our feed station to refuel and hydrate before a flat and fast route back to Bowcliffe Hall for some well-earned post-ride food.

100 KM ROUTE

Our 100 Km route begins by heading North through the Vale of York on quiet, flat country lanes. We'll fuel up and rehydrate at our feed station before looping back on a flat and fast route back to Bowcliffe Hall for some well-earned post-ride food.

THANKS TO THE TEAM

Charlie Thompson, LGT Wealth Management

"I am delighted to be part of helping to take on the legacy of the ride, and not only that, give me added motivation to swap two feet for two wheels and get back out on my bike again! Raising money for such a fantastic charity and seeing the professional community coming together is added motivation."

Laura Marks, RSM

"I am really passionate about encouraging new riders to get into cycling. I’m hoping the Yorkshire Ton and the training sessions that we are planning will enable more people to take up cycling. Last year we had far too few women, so it would be great if we are able to increase the numbers this year!"

Steve Hubbard, RSM

"I have been a regular rider on the Ton and enjoyed helping less experienced colleagues with the challenge of a hundred miles, including changing punctures! This is a networking event for the Yorkshire business community and we hope to see as many businesses as possible represented."
